Accounts Manager -Faygate
Euro Self Drive Ltd. is a family-owned commercial vehicle hire business which has been operating in Sussex for over 30 years and has branches in Horsham/Crawley and Eastbourne. With a fleet of around 220 vehicles and turnover of c£2.3m, the business is well-positioned to continue its success in the future.
The accounts manager will report to the managing director and will have responsibility for all aspects of business finance and administration, including daily transactions, payroll, management reporting, compliance, and year end.
Your key duties will include:
- Sales invoicing, purchase ledger and all associated administration using Xero and Excel.
- Fleet management – finance agreements, depreciation schedules, vehicle costs and budgeting along with vehicle profitability reports.
- Maintaining financial accounts, fixed assets, P&L and balance sheet control.
- Production of monthly management accounts with useful commentary.
- Aged debtor analysis, credit control, cash flow forecasting and budget control.
- Monthly payroll for seven staff.
- Developing and improving accounting and administration systems and procedures.
Our ideal candidate will bring:
- AAT qualification, or part-qualification in ACCA or ACMA.
- Strong financial and management accounting experience gained in a commercial accounting role with an SME which is ideally involved in a similar sector; such as a fleet management or motor dealership environment.
- Strong fixed assets and payroll experience. Proof of stability and progression with previous employers – keen to make a long-term commitment.
- Great organisation skills – efficient, self-motivated, professional, business-like, proactive, and switched-on, as well as being a real team player.
- Highly IT-literate with experience in Xero, Sage Payroll and Excel.
- Car owner / driver – already living within an easy commute of Faygate and very happy to be office based (8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday).
