Finance Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our client’s team in the Littlehampton area of West Sussex. You will play a key role in supporting accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping. This position requires proficiency in Sage 200 accounting software and Excel. The Accounts Administrator will contribute to the overall efficiency of financial operations and helping the team in achieving deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Processing invoices and ensuring timely payments/receipts.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for transactions.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth communication regarding financial matters.
  • Utilise Sage 200 accounting software to input data and generate reports.
  • Assisting in general administrative tasks.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in daily accounts duties.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new processes.
