Finance Director
A terrific new finance director opportunity for a high-calibre chartered accountant to join a medium-sized enterprise in the Worthing area of West Sussex. Reporting to the MD, you will have responsibility for managing a small accounts team in the running of transactional accounting, reporting and compliance. In overview, your remit will cover:
- Hands-on involvement in the production of monthly and annual accounts in liaison with external accountants.
- Credit control and debtor management.
- Audit and tax compliance.
- Effective leadership, to include mentoring and nurturing a collaborative team culture.
- Providing strategic support to the MD and operational colleagues.
- Systems / process development and improvement.
Our ideal candidate for this important role will be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, attributes, skills, and experience:
- Fully qualified as a CIMA, ACCA or ACA accountant.
- A CV which demonstrates commitment to, and progression in, previous roles with an industrial or manufacturing business.
- Proven success at FD level (or as FC with direct report to the MD) within a medium-sized business.
- Highly IT-literate with a passion for systems and efficiency improvements.
- A great leader and team player who is inspiring yet humble, and strategically-minded yet with an eye for detail.
