Tax Case Worker – Innov8 R&D
I am delighted to be recruiting on behalf of my client, Innov8 R&D, an established R&D tax consultancy which is enjoying a period of growth and continued success. The managing director is looking for a new case worker to join the team, based at head office in Lancing on a hybrid working basis.
The client portfolio currently consists of over 600 innovative businesses in a wide range of sectors, so your role will be key to ensuring they receive a quality service and the highest amount of credits relating to their investment in R&D.
Your duties will include:
- Interaction with clients to develop a comprehensive understanding of the projects undertaken and identify how aspects of these projects meet the eligible R&D criteria through directing technical meetings
- Drafting clear technical narrative to support R&D tax relief claims
- Preparation of financial calculations to support R&D tax relief claims
- Developing financial knowledge and expertise to better support R&D tax specific advice to clients.
Previous experience in R&D tax relief consultancy would be wonderful of course, but this isn’t essential if you can meet the following criteria:
- A collaborator and team player with excellent communication skills
- A positive individual with a ‘can do’ attitude and good critical thinking skills
- A trustworthy person with good listening skills
- An organised and time efficient individual with the ability to deal with deadline pressures
- An independent thinker with the ability to work on your own initiative
- An individual who strives to ensure high attention to detail
- Good note-taking skills
- Good English and Math skills
- Good working knowledge of IT.

Please note that hours worked are 8 per day, Monday to Friday, with flexibility with regard to start and finish times. Earliest start time is 8am and latest finish time is 6pm. Both full- and part-time positions are available (minimum 21 hours / three days per week). Hybrid working is also available after initial training and probation. Salary range is
£24-35,000 pro rata depending on the level of relevant experience.
