Tax Adviser

My client is looking for a tenacious and people-focused accountant/tax adviser to join their expanding team. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tax consultancy in order to provide exceptional tax advisory services to our clients – both individuals and businesses. This role requires an analytical approach, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to navigate complex financial situations effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on tax planning and compliance for individuals and businesses.
  • Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.
  • Analyse financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities for clients.
  • Assist clients with financial accounting, including accounts payable processes.
  • Utilise accounting software effectively.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and financial regulations that may impact clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop tailored financial strategies that meet their needs.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of personal / corporate tax and financial accounting principles and practices.
  • Proven success in your career to date, with a local Practice or tax consultancy.
  • Expertise in financial planning and the provision of financial services.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Effective communication skills for client interactions and presentations.

Please note that standard hours are 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm.  Part-time hours are available – please specify in your covering email.  Hybrid working is available too, but three days must be office-based (near to Chichester). They are an exceptionally nice team, so this will be a pleasure rather than a chore!
