Tax Adviser
My client is looking for a tenacious and people-focused accountant/tax adviser to join their expanding team. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tax consultancy in order to provide exceptional tax advisory services to our clients – both individuals and businesses. This role requires an analytical approach, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to navigate complex financial situations effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on tax planning and compliance for individuals and businesses.
- Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.
- Analyse financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities for clients.
- Assist clients with financial accounting, including accounts payable processes.
- Utilise accounting software effectively.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and financial regulations that may impact clients.
- Collaborate with clients to develop tailored financial strategies that meet their needs.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of personal / corporate tax and financial accounting principles and practices.
- Proven success in your career to date, with a local Practice or tax consultancy.
- Expertise in financial planning and the provision of financial services.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Effective communication skills for client interactions and presentations.

Please note that standard hours are 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm. Part-time hours are available – please specify in your covering email. Hybrid working is available too, but three days must be office-based (near to Chichester). They are an exceptionally nice team, so this will be a pleasure rather than a chore!
