Part-time Bookkeeper

I am delighted to be recruiting a part-time bookkeeper or assistant accountant to join a great company which is based on the business park in Lancing.  Reporting to a really supportive finance manager, you will have responsibility for ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions and producing monthly management reports.

Your key duties will include:

  • Daily bookkeeping and maintaining clean and accurate ledgers.
  • The preparation of financial statement and reports.
  • Regular bank reconciliations.
  • Sales ledger invoicing with associated credit control duties in order to keep a healthy cash flow.
  • Purchase ledger processing and liaising with suppliers.

To be considered for this important role you will bring the following:

  • Good attention to detail to enter correct data into financial records and recognise errors.
  • Mathematics skills for accurate record-keeping.
  • Administrative skills for filing financial records.
  • Computer literacy, especially familiarity with Excel, databases, and accounting software.
  • Multi-tasking and organisational skills to manage different financial duties, including the ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines.
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills for dealing with customers, suppliers, and other employees in the accounts department.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
