Temporary Accounts Assistant

Shoreham-by-Sea £12-14.00 per hour

Our client is a leading service company with a superb reputation with its customers, suppliers and employees. The finance manager needs a really helpful and professional accounts assistant to support the accounts team during a busy period of up to two months. Starting immediately, youíll need to be able to hit the ground running by taking over invoice processing for both purchase and sales ledger using the integrated accounts package. Our ideal candidate will have recent experience of maintaining ledgers and be very computer literate with strong Excel skills. If you have relevant practical accountancy experience, are ready for a new assignment and are the sort of person who takes real pride in their work, then we would love to hear from you!

Credit Controller

This is an interesting opportunity for a tenacious and determined credit controller to join one of the areaís leading companies and to take control of the invoicing and credit control aspects of the accounting function. Itís a fairly complex business model, so you will be used to investigating and resolving outstanding issues by communicating effectively with colleagues throughout the business as well as the highly valued customers. Temporary Assistant Accountant

We are just starting the hunt for a bright and intelligent assistant accountant with a strong track record of working within a commercial business finance department, to join a very busy and impressive company in Rustington. Reporting to the head of finance, you will have responsibility for maintaining sales and purchase ledgers (high volume of transaction processing), associated reconciliations and administration, and supporting the month-end process. We need someone who can commit to an assignment for one to three months - there is also the opportunity to be considered for a permanent role. You must have a proven track record of success in a similar role and be able to start work at the end of February. We look forward to hearing from you.

Bookkeeper / Office Manager (part-time)

Hurstpierpoint £27,000 pro rata

Terrific role for a really well-organised bookkeeper to take on all the accounts and office administration for a lovely company based in the heart of rural Sussex. Reporting to the senior manager and directors you will have responsibility for daily accounts processing and all associated duties such as invoicing, purchase ledger, reconciliations, VAT returns, filing, organising work schedules and generally looking after the office. As you would expect, you will need to be a very experienced office administrator and be very computer-literate. You will also be of a positive and sunny disposition and be happy to do both routine and more challenging duties to ensure the smooth running of the business. If you are a talented bookkeeper, love variety and feel like a fresh challenge, then this could be the job for you! Hours are 09:00 to 17:00, Monday, Wednesday and Friday with some flexibility. Please only apply if you have recent bookkeeping experience gained within an SME business and live within an easy commute of the Hurstpierpoint area.

Financial Accountant (part- or full-time)

Shoreham-by-Sea £28-37,000 (depending on the level of the successful person)

This is a new position for a part-qualified accountant (or AAT qualified) with a strong commercial SME accounting background, to join a really interesting business which is really going places. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will have responsibility for: Production of monthly management accounts to include accruals, prepayments, accrued income & balance sheet reconciliations. Monthly reporting and commentary. Cash book postings. ONS & VAT returns. Liaise with operational managers to investigate accounts queries. Develop accounting processes, systems and procedures. Our ideal candidate will have: Commercial experience in a similar role, probably SME rather than a large corporate. First-hand experience and familiarity with general accounting processes. Good attention to detail and knowledge of processes to ensure integrity of data. The ability to organise / re-prioritise workload according to the needs of the business. Experience of using accounting systems, ideally Access Dimension or similar (e.g. Sage). Strong Excel skills (formulae, lookups, pivot tables). A flexible, hard-working and hands-on approach.
