Part-time Administrator

Worthing, West Sussex £10.00 per hour

Our client is based in East Worthing and has a really nice team of busy accounts, customer service and administration people. In fact they are so busy they need an extra pair of hands! You will be helping out with all aspects of office administration - such as data input, updating Excel spreadsheets, filing, emailing customers, dealing with telephone enquiries... and generally being a fantastic support person to colleagues in the office and throughout the business. If you are very positive, helpful and well-organised person who likes to be kept busy and takes real pride in your work, then we would love to hear from you. You will need recent office-based administration experience to be considered and will have spent a minimum of two years with your current or last employer. Hours are 20 per week initially, ideally worked over four days and definitely on a Monday!

Accounts Assistant - an opportunity with Dando Drilling

My client is Dando Drilling International Ltd., an innovative company which designs and manufactures drilling rigs and equipment for use in some of the world’s prominent construction, civil engineering and mining projects. The company’s head-office is based in Ford where the team of around 30 staff all pull together to deliver a fantastic service to customers and end users. The new role of finance assistant will report to the management accountant and will be a key support to her and the wider business. Your main duties will be: • Purchase and sales ledger with all associated processing, administration and multi-currency reconciliations. • Use of Access Dimensions/123 Insight and Excel spreadsheets. • Updating the cashflow on a daily basis. • Month end reconciliations, debtor control and reporting processes. • Dealing efficiently with customer queries, statements, remittances and ensuring data is maintained accurately both electronically and in filing systems. My client is an expanding company with a great reputation and really strong client base. The financial controller is looking for a bright person with recent practical accountancy experience to join her team and to take on responsibility for a section of the sales ledger. Your key duties will be: * Maintaining Excel spreadsheets for management reports. * Processing invoices and payments. * Dealing with customer queries and investigating/resolving issues as they arise. * Issuing beautifully-presented emails. The role will suit a very numerate accounts assistant who has at least three years’ recent experience in sales and/or purchase ledger and has intermediate or advanced level Excel skills. Hours are 35 per week.

Assistant Accountant

This is a new position for an experienced AAT qualified (or part-qualified ACCA / CIMA) assistant accountant to support the finance manager of a busy manufacturing company for a period of between 3 and 12 months, commencing in mid-April. Key duties will include: Processing staff expenses and commissions. Journal preparation, posting and calculation of accruals. Payroll / petty cash accounting and reconciliation. Assist with the production of balance sheet reconciliations. Assistance with audit query resolution. Statistical reporting, EC Sales and Intrastat reporting. VAT reconciliation. Use of SAP and Excel (to advanced level). Based on the coast in Worthing, the head-office team are dedicated to achieving a fantastic customer experience, and to ensuring back-office functions are highly efficient and effective. The Credit Control Manager is an integral part of this business. Managing a team of collectors and credit control staff, your remit will to be to maintain and develop processes and ensure controls are adhered to and compliance is followed. Due to the nature of the business, you’ll need to have experience in working with and helping customers in arrears/dealing with complaints and managing debt cases. You’ll also have up to date knowledge of legal proceedings and legislation. You will need to understand KPI’s, managing by information and be very analytical.
