Accounts Assistant

Worthing, West Sussex £17,500

Our lovely client in East Worthing is looking for a new accounts assistant to boost their busy finance team. You will be entering invoices and expenses to the accounts system, updating sales information and maintaining accurate Excel spreadsheets for the monthly reconciliation process. If you have a year’s experience in maintaining purchase or sales ledger and are confident in the use of Excel, then this could be ideal as a next step in your career. It will be essential that you are an accurate and efficient worker, so please include a covering email with your application highlighting your ability in these key areas. Purchase Ledger Assistant

Ferring (initially based in East Worthing) £20,000 plus bonus

Terrific new position for an enthusiastic and efficient purchase ledger controller to join a really friendly and supportive accounts team. Reporting to the purchase ledger supervisor, you will help to maintain accurate data input and timely payments to key suppliers. If you are a fast and meticulous worker who enjoys a busy team environment, then this could be an ideal position for you! Please note that the company is currently based in East Worthing and will relocate to new offices in Ferring next summer. Parking is available at both sites.

Accounts Assistant (part-time, 12 months)

Steyning £20,500 pro rata

We are just starting the hunt for a bright and enthusiastic accounts assistant to join the accounts team of this really interesting business in rural West Sussex on a part-time, 12-month contract basis. You will be maintaining purchase ledger and assisting with month end processes such as reconciliations and updating Excel spreadsheets. If you are looking for a new challenge and have up-to-date purchase ledger or general accounts experience, then we would love to hear from you. Hours are 09:00 to 17:30, three days per week (days are flexible, but the hours are fixed). The position is a 12-month contract with the possibility of a permanent role in the future. Please note that the office is in a rural setting so you will need your own transport. Please also note that we can only consider candidates with recent relevant experience in accountancy and who have a CV which demonstrates commitment to previous employers. We are looking for a business or consumer credit controller to join our client’s credit control team based at their busy head office in Pulborough. The position will involve all aspects of collections by telephone and email, with all associated administration and liaison with colleagues throughout the business. If you are an experienced credit controller who enjoys the challenge of chasing debts while maintaining positive customer relations, then we would love to hear from you!

Accounts Manager

Worthing town centre £32,000

Our client is a very well-established and successful company based in central Worthing. With a great reputation for quality products and services, the business has expanded over recent years and also has a thriving online operation. The position of accounts manager reports to the general manager and managing director, with supervisory responsibility for a very diligent accounts assistant. As such, you’ll need to be a great all-rounder with strong SME accounts management experience and excellent working knowledge of Sage 50 and Sage Payroll. Key duties will include: * Managing purchase and sales ledger as well as EPOS and online transactions. * Monthly reconciliations. * Monthly management accounts and reports. * Monthly payroll for around 30 staff with associated administration and HR duties. * All HMRC compliance. * All bookkeeping and office administration duties to ensure the smooth running of the accounts function. To be considered for this varied and very busy role, you will be an experienced SME accountant with strong communication skills and be happy to undertake routine accounts tasks. You’ll have a CV which demonstrates commitment to previous employers and be highly proficient in the use of Sage Accounts and Payroll. Please note that as this is a town centre location there is unfortunately no parking available. Hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with 20 days’ holiday.
